Juventus keen on David De Gea as alternative for Liverpool's Alisson

Juventus are reportedly eyeing a move for Fiorentina's David De Gea as an alternative for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

The Serie A side were hoping to bring Alisson, 33, back to Italy this summer, but Liverpool have now convinced him to stay at Anfield for another season.

As a result, Liverpool’s back-up Giorgi Mamardashvili is likely to be shipped out on loan, with clubs across Europe interested.

According to reports in Italy, Juventus have now turned their attention to De Gea, 35, after being snubbed by the Brazilian.

De Gea has managed to revitalise his career in Italy, putting in a player of the match performance in Fiorentina’s 2-0 win over Juve in the penultimate Serie A game of the season.
