'We deserve the trophy' - PSG boss Luis Enrique on claiming back-to-back titles

Luis Enrique coached in three Champions League finals and won all of them.

He doesn't like to be called a legend, but it's a description that fits him like few other. Luis Enrique has the highest win rate out of all the Champions League coaches with 50+ games, and Saturday night in Budapest, he took his PSG to their second triumph in a row. At the press conference after the penalty drama, he spoke about...

"It can only be positive, it's a dream come true. I think it was a high-level final against one of the most difficult opponents, especially after they scored in the first ten minutes. We were in hot water, but were able to get back up. They were perfectly defending, physically attacking; it was hard to power through.

"This back-to-back has been tough, but we're so happy for our supporters. Now let's party."

"We all have objections, we'll think about them in the autumn. Now, we have written history. We played the CWC after the Champions League; it was really hard for us. Now almost everyone goes to the World Cup, another high-level competition."

"Business as usual. I had six players on the list, they decided the order between themselves. I wanted everyone to go into it with a clear head, just to get it over with.

"It was a very tight game, very hard. We played against the strongest set piece team in all of Europe. But I think we were able to dominate. I'm so happy and think we deserve the trophy. After all of the difficulties we had in the season, I think we deserve the trophy."

"In football, you have to be ready. One of the best qualities we have as a team is resilience. We were able to overcome all our problems and today we showed that against a strong Arsenal team. We played until the last minute and showed the level of our team."
