Vinicius Junior has admitted that Lionel Messi’s presence makes Argentina national team strong contenders to win the World Cup again this summer.

The Real Madrid forward believes Messi’s creativity could once again give La Albiceleste an edge as they aim to defend their title in North America.

Despite the intense rivalry between Brazil and Argentina, Vinicius was quick to praise Lionel Scaloni’s side, acknowledging their quality and experience heading into the tournament across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Vnicius told Caze TV "I'll pick Argentina too (as one of the favourites of the World Cup), because they were the last champions, they have great confidence, and they have Messi."
