Inter open advanced talks to sign Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones

Inter Milan have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Curtis Jones, with advanced talks already taking place with Liverpool over a potential summer transfer.

The Serie A champions are eager to strengthen their midfield after completing a domestic double and are hoping to finalise an agreement early in the window.

According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio recently met Liverpool counterpart Richard Hughes to discuss the England midfielder’s future.

Jones has just one year remaining on his current contract and is reportedly delaying renewal talks as he considers a move away from Anfield.

The 25-year-old made 49 appearances across all competitions this season, often playing in unfamiliar roles due to Liverpool’s injury problems.

However, Jones is believed to want guaranteed playing time after missing out on England’s 2026 World Cup squad. A move to Italy is viewed as a possible opportunity to revive his international ambitions ahead of Euro 2028.
