Liverpool have key advantage over Bayern Munich in Anthony Gordon race

Newcastle United are accepting that Anthony Gordon will leave St James' Park this summer.

Bayern Munich have made the 25-year-old one of their key targets, as Vincent Kompany eyes competition for Luis Diaz on the left flank, but the Bundesliga giants are unwilling to meet Newcastle's 375 million valuation.

Gordon would favour a move to Bayern, although other clubs have shown admiration towards the England international, and Liverpool's interest shouldn't be discounted.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Liverpool will "monitor" Gordon's situation "extremely closely" ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Reds are looking for quality output in wide areas to offset Mohamed Salah's Anfield departure, and Newcastle's No. 10 is seen as a strong option.

Gordon produced 22 goal involvements in all competitions in 2025/26, with the Merseyside giants potentially holding a key advantage in negotiations.

The fleet-footed forward has previously spoken about how he supported Liverpool growing up, so that could be a deciding factor in his future.
