Jarrod Bowen hints at possible West Ham exit in new social media post

When West Ham were relegated from the Premier League on Sunday, Jarrod Bowen was instantly asked about his future.

"That’s our aim now, this season is done, our aim now is to get back in the Premier League. That’s as simple as it is," the West Ham captain responded to a question surrounding his future, with the words "our aim" offering supporters a glimmer of hope.

Fast forward less than 24 hours, and an Instagram from Bowen himself has seemingly erased his chances of staying, even if he didn't admit he wanted to leave.

"One thing I know about this club is that it has the desire and fight to bounce back from this. This club belongs in the Premier League and deserves to be back there as soon as possible," the Englishman said at the end of a heartfelt post addressing the fans, and stating "this club" instead of "our" perhaps points to him heading for the exit door.

West Ham are already facing up to the fact that they have to offload 3150 million worth of talent to offset the damage of relegation to the Championship, and Bowen is one of the players on that list.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have all registered interest in the 29-year-old following relegation, having watched him record 20 goal involvements in 38 top-flight appearances this term.

Indeed, it seems unthinkable that an England international with Bowen's incredible qualities will be playing second-tier football - six years after leaving Hull City - and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
