Bayern Munich are reportedly plotting a shock move for soon to depart Man City defender John Stones.

Stones, 31, will leave Man City as a free agent once his contract expires at the end of the season, ten years after joining from Everton.

According to the Daily Mail, German giants Bayern Munich are plotting a surprise move for the defender.

The England international has struggled for minutes over the past few seasons due to injuries, starting just four of his eight Premier League games in 2025-26.

Stones was Pep Guardiola’s second signing as Man City manager in 2016, and played alongside now Bayern manager Vincent Kompany.
