David Affengruber has emerged as one of the surprise defensive targets ahead of the summer transfer window after impressing during his debut La Liga season with Elche.

The Austrian centre-back has attracted interest from several European heavyweights, with Manchester United, Juventus FC and AC Milan all reportedly monitoring his progress.

Atl9tico de Madrid and Sevilla FC are also believed to be interested.

Affengruber joined Elche on a free transfer from SK Sturm Graz in 2024 and quickly became a key figure in the squad.

The 25-year-old has made 36 appearances across all competitions this season, contributing one goal and two assists while helping establish himself as one of La Liga’s standout defenders.
