Arne Slot fires back at Mohamed Salah Liverpool claim

Arne Slot has dismissed concerns raised by Mohamed Salah over leadership within the Liverpool squad.

The Egypt international recently suggested the Reds could miss experienced figures who set high standards behind the scenes when he leaves Anfield after nine years.

However, the Dutch tactician insisted Liverpool already have enough leaders in the dressing room and rejected suggestions that standards could drop next season.

"Does Virgil mean the same as what Mo is saying? And what Mo is saying is that standards are really important for a football club," said Slot was quoted by Liverpool Echo.

"I cannot agree more with him! I did not hear him say that the standards are not okay now. Did you?

"I’m not worried about it, let's put it that way. I’m not worried that the standards will be lower next season than they were this season, or the season before or the season before. No. I’m not worried about it. At all."

Apart from Salah, Liverpool could also lose experienced stars such as Andrew Robertson, while uncertainty remains over the future of Alisson Becker.
