Man United eye shock move for Lyon sensation Afonso Moreira

Man United are reportedly eyeing a shock move for Lyon's breakout star Afonso Moreira this summer.

Following United’s return to a 4-2-3-1 system under Michael Carrick, it’s been reported they’re looking to sign a new left winger this summer.

According to A Bola, the Premier League giants have identified Moreira, 21, as a target to help bolster the position.

Moreira, who only joined Lyon from Sporting last summer for an initial fee of €2 million, has emerged as a key player for the French side.

Following the injury of Malick Fofana, he has managed to score eight goals and provide ten assists in his 35 games.

Man United won’t have a free run at Moreira, however, with clubs in Germany and Italy also interested in the winger.
