Barcelona worried as Bayern make concrete offer for Newcastle's Anthony Gordon

Bayern Munich have offered a solid deal for Newcastle's Anthony Gordon as he considers his future.

The 25-year-old has been one of the Magpies standout performers this season, proving to be the team’s deadliest threat going forward as both Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa continue to struggle.

Gordon has been linked with Barcelona for a number of weeks as the Spanish side aim to bring in a winger who can help them defend the La Liga title next season.

The England international is believed to be open to a new challenge as Newcastle are set to miss out on the Champions League, therefore opening the door for the Spanish side and now German giants Bayern Munich.

Journalist and transfer expert Florian Plettenburg has reported that Bayern are keen on the winger who would join England teammate Harry Kane in attack.

“Despite interest from other top clubs, FC Bayern have now presented Anthony #Gordon and his camp with concrete figures. Gordon could sign a five-year contract at Bayern.

“The main issue remains an agreement with Newcastle - not with the player. Bayern have clear limits. Eberl/Freund are therefore in talks with several candidates.”

Gordon has 17 goals and five assists in 46 games across all competitions this season, including 10 in the Champions League despite Newcastle being knocked out early in the competition.

The winger has his pick of the club this summer as he weighs up his options which include some of Europe’s biggest sides.
