Real Madrid set to release six-time Champions League winner Dani Carvajal

Real Madrid are reportedly set to release long serving defender Dani Carvajal at the end of the season.

The 34-year-old has been a mainstay for Real Madrid over the years, making an incredible 448 appearances since breaking into the first team in 2013.

According to Marca, though, Carvajal is set for an unceremonious exit once his contract expires at the end of the season.

The report adds that due to injury concerns and a complete breakdown in his relationship with the coaching staff.

Carvajal’s seemingly final season at the club has been bleak, starting just eight of his 14 La Liga games with Real Madrid set to go for a second consecutive season without a trophy.
