Rashford seen as cheaper Bayern Munich option than Gordon

Dietmar Hamann has said he would prefer Marcus Rashford over Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon to strengthen Bayern Munich’s attack.

The former German international claimed the Bavarians should “100 per cent” pursue the England international, adding that he can play in multiple roles and would be the more cost-effective option.

The 28-year-old is on loan at Bar7a until the end of the season, with reports suggesting Barcelona could sign him permanently for around €30 million.

"I love this player and think he's brilliant." Rashford's ability to slot in anywhere in attack is a major asset,” said Hamann.

"If I were Bayern Munich, I would have much preferred him (Rashford, ed.) to Anthony Gordon."
