Juventus urged to back Vlahovic over signing Lewandowski

Former Torino goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino has urged Juventus not to go for Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski.

Juve are said to be eyeing Lewandowski, 37, who could become available as a free agent this summer from Barca.

Sorrentino, who is a former Juve youth teamer, said: "If Bar7a decided to let Lewandowski go, it is because they do not believe he can compete at the highest level.

"So I would think about it, perhaps focusing on a younger player like (Randal) Kolo Muani.

"And I would keep (Dusan) Vlahovic: I think that with (coach Luciano) Spalletti and two quality wingers like Chico (Conceicao) and (Kenan) Yildiz, he can still have a say."

Kolo Muani, who had a spell with Juve last season, is currently on-loan with Tottenham from PSG.
