Real Madrid set price for Gonzalo

Real Madrid have set their asking price for Gonzalo Garcia.

The Castilla graduate plays a secondary role in 1lvaro Arbeloa's current plans, but the board is unwilling to let him leave easily.

According to AS, the directors have set his price at no less than €60m.

This would make Gonzalo the second most expensive transfer in the history of Real Madrid's academy, a record held by 1lvaro Morata for the €80m paid by Chelsea.

The striker started the season playing a key role in the plans of then-manager Xabi Alonso. However, since Arbeloa's arrival, his prominence has diminished considerably (barely 15 minutes in the last five LaLiga matches ).

In total, he has six goals and two assists in the 34 appearances he has made this season.
