Chelsea advanced to their 17th FA Cup final after a 1-0 victory over Leeds United at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
Enzo Fernandez headed home the decisive goal in the first half, converting Pedro Neto's cross from the right flank to beat Leeds goalkeeper Lucas Perri. The captain's finish proved sufficient as caretaker manager Calum McFarlane guided the Blues to victory just days after Liam Rosenior's departure from the club.
Robert Sanchez made crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet, denying Brenden Aaronson in the opening period and Anton Stach after the break. Leeds pressed for an equaliser in the closing stages but Chelsea's defence held firm to secure their place in the showpiece event.
The result maintains Chelsea's perfect record against Leeds in FA Cup competition, marking a seventh win from seven meetings. Joao Pedro came close to doubling the lead when his effort struck the inside of the post, while Leeds' Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ao Tanaka also tested the Chelsea defence without finding the target.
Chelsea will now face Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Wembley, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm. This will be the first time the two clubs have met in the competition's final.
