7M - PSG Join Race For Aston Villa Star Morgan Rogers

Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers is drawing serious transfer interest from top clubs across England and Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain emerging as a key suitor alongside Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

According to talkSPORT sources, the 23-year-old is likely to be available this summer for a fee starting at £80 million, with that figure potentially rising should multiple clubs enter a bidding war. Rogers, who is comfortable operating as a number ten or left-winger, remains under contract with Villa until 2031, placing the club in a strong negotiating position.

PSG sporting adviser Luis Campos and head coach Luis Enrique have identified Rogers as a target to strengthen their attacking options. The French side are weighing whether to prioritise a winger, a creative midfielder or a striker, given that Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola are not considered available. Rogers impressed during last season's Champions League quarter-final against PSG, scoring in Villa's 3-1 defeat at the Parc des Princes, and is said to admire Enrique's coaching style.

Villa are not expected to obstruct a potential departure, even if they secure Champions League football for next season. A sale would assist the club in meeting financial regulations, and discussions could progress before the upcoming World Cup. Rogers maintains a positive relationship with manager Unai Emery and the Villa hierarchy, having signed a one-year extension last summer.

Among Premier League clubs, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea are all actively monitoring the situation. Arsenal may create squad and wage space by moving on Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard, while also considering Newcastle's Anthony Gordon and Kvaratskhelia. Manchester United's sporting director Jason Wilcox is familiar with Rogers from his time at Manchester City, and former Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick previously oversaw his development. Chelsea seek additional creativity in midfield, particularly if Enzo Fernandez departs.

Liverpool appreciate Rogers but are currently focused on recruiting a right-winger to replace Mohamed Salah, with Yan Diomande also on their radar for the left flank. Bayern Munich have been linked but are prioritising Gordon at this stage.

Rogers has been instrumental in Villa's strong campaign, recording 12 goals and nine assists across 48 appearances in all competitions. With Villa positioned fourth in the Premier League and reaching the Europa League semi-finals against Nottingham Forest, his immediate focus remains on ending the season with success ahead of the World Cup. Despite never requesting a move, Rogers is poised to be among the summer's most prominent transfer stories.
