Morgan Rogers to leave the Premier League? PSG join Liverpool in race for Villa star
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers could leave the side this summer as he is linked with several clubs.
Villa sit fourth in the Premier League table under manager Unai Emery who is also close to securing the Europa League title as his side enter the Semi Final next week.
According to talkSPORT, Rogers is likely to leave Aston Villa even if the club qualifies for the Champions League and wins the Europa League as he seeks the next step in his career.
The England midfielder has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool over the past week but as per talkSPORT he is said to be open to a move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Reports claim Rogers is an admirer of PSG coach Luis Enrique and despite Villa aiming to claim Champions League football, he is keen on moving to a side more capable of winning it much like last season.
Villa have Rogers tied to a contract through to the summer of 2031 and would likely ask for a fee of around 360M for the playmaker who has been integral to the side over the past few seasons.
Rogers previously scored against PSG in Villa’s 3–1 defeat at the Parc des Princes in the Champions League quarter-final second leg last season and he is said to have been impressed by the overwhelming atmosphere in Paris.
If PSG did make a bid, it is likely that English clubs would not stand a chance considering the club’s pedigree and high chance of silverware each season domestically and in Europe.
