Liverpool have been handed a mjaor fitness boost ahead of the clash against Crystal Palace this weekend.

Liverpool will welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield on Saturday as they aim to extend their gap in 5th place on the hunt for a spot in the Champions League ready for next season.

The Reds have a five-point lead over closest Champions League challengers Brighton & Hove Albion, and a game in hand too as the end of the season gives some relief to frustrated fans.

Ahead of the clash against Palace, Liverpool released a number of training ground pictures which included 3 players that may be fit to face the Eagles if needed.

Joe Gomez, Alisson Becker and Wataru Endo all returned to first team training in what is a major boost for manager Arne Slot whose side have been plagued with injuries for the majority of the campaign.

Giorgi Mamardashvili stepped in for Alisson in recent weeks but picked up a wound against Everton which opened the door for Freddie Woodman to step into as he kept a clean sheet to secure a 2-1 victory.

However, Woodman could be replaced by Alisson who is close to returning this week alongside Gomez who could hand Jeremie Frimpong a much needed rest in defence.

Meanwhile, Endo started at right-back against Sunderland on February 11th, but had to be stretchered off after a major ankle and foot injury. He may return this weekend or the next after a number of months on the sidelines in what is a very welcome return.
