Burnley to decide on Scott Parker's future in "coming days" after relegation

Scott Parker is reportedly set to learn whether he will remain as Burnley manager in the "coming days."

Burnley were the second club to be relegated from the Premier League this season following their 1-0 defeat to Man City on Wednesday (April 22).

According to Sky Sports, Parker, 45, is set to learn whether he will be trusted to bring them back up next season, or not.

This season’s relegation from the Premier League is Parker’s third as a manager, twice while and Fulham and once at Burnley.

Speaking to reporters after their defeat to Man City, Parker said: "The club has had to (bounce back) over the last few years.

“There is a lot of learning to do and that is exactly what we'll do. We'll reflect on where we've fallen short. We need to work out where we've gone wrong and come back stronger next year.

"It's been a relentless season for everyone, me included. We (he and the board) will sit down and reflect, work out where we move forward and go from there.”
