John Stones is set to leave Manchester City at the end of the season as he ponders his future.

The title challengers are already preparing to bid farewell to club legend Bernardo Silva, who announced that he will depart at the end of the season earlier this month.

Stones, 31, has been integral to the success under manager Pep Guardiola over the past decade as the club won every trophy available to them.

The defender became the world's second most expensive defender of all time, behind David Luiz, when he signed in a 350M deal from Everton back in 2016 and now he looks to be ready to depart after a drop in game time.

This comes from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who reports that the England international will leave in a few months time.

“John Stones will leave Man City as free agent, as reported on Monday.

“There are already clubs keen on signing the 31-year-old centre back on a free move.”

Fabrizio reported on Monday: "John Stones, expected to leave Manchester City in the summer as free agent," Romano tweeted. "31 year old defender wants to help until the end of the season and then expected to go after making history at #MCFC."

Stones has been restricted to just 15 competitive matches in an injury-hit season under Guardiola who has preferred the likes of Marc Guehi and Ruben Dias at the back.

During his time at City, he won six league titles, five EFL Cups, two FA Cups, a Champions League crown, a UEFA Super Cup and a Club World Cup as he departs as a club legend.
