Man Utd open Palmeiras talks for Man City target Conceicao
Manchester United are moving to trump Manchester City to the signing of Palmeiras teen Eduardo Conceicao.
The Daily Mail says United are planning to table a 340m offer for the attacker.
Newcastle have already had an offer rising to 332m rejected by Palmeiras.
City had been regarded as favourites to sign Conceicao, particularly given their positive relationship with Palmeiras.
However, United have now opened talks with Palmeiras as a first formal offer is now due.
For their part, Palmeiras are demanding closer to 360m to part with the 16 year-old, who is also interesting Barcelona.
