Fresh from securing Bayern Munich's place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, England captain Harry Kane heaped praise on club colleague Michael Olise, describing the French winger as among the planet's elite talents.
Bayern's attacking trio of Kane, Olise, and Luis Diaz have netted 48 Bundesliga goals combined this campaign, with all three finding the back of the net during Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final clash against Real Madrid.
Olise delivered a standout performance, sealing the scoring with Bayern's fourth goal in stoppage time and earning Man of the Match honors. The German giants advanced 6-4 on aggregate and will now face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the last four.
Speaking to US broadcasters after the victory, Kane highlighted Olise's character and work ethic: "Michael is exceptional. While his public image may seem reserved, those inside the club know his true value. He's a tremendous presence in the dressing room and dedicates extra time to training and finishing drills."
The 32-year-old striker emphasized Olise's ambition to reach football's highest level, noting that the winger's displays in crucial matches are distinguishing him on Europe's biggest stage. "You can see his drive to become one of the world's best, and currently, he absolutely belongs in that conversation," Kane stated. "If he continues performing as he has all season, particularly in high-pressure moments, he will be vital for our success."
