Frankfurt star Brown responds to Arsenal and Man City links: It’s a truly staggering sum
Eintracht Frankfurt defender Nathaniel Brown has responded to the transfer links between him and the Premier League.
Brown, said to be valued at €65M, is being linked with a number of top sides including Arsenal and Manchester City as clubs prepare to enter the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old is a regular at Eintracht and has missed just one Bundesliga match due to illness, racking up 3,011 minutes across all competitions for the Bundesliga side.
Brown’s performances have not gone unnoticed and club’s from around Europe are reportedly ready to fight for his signature in the coming months.
The young full-back has been capped three times by Germany and as speculation grows, he has responded to rumours and his price tag which he admits he was shocked by.
“Yes, you do pick up on things like that (transfer rumours), but it doesn’t influence me. I’m concentrating on the goals that are within my control. Nothing else interests me right now.”
“It’s a truly staggering sum. But frankly speaking, I’m not giving numbers like that, or the possibility of a transfer this summer, a second thought.
"My focus is entirely on Eintracht and our goal of qualifying for Europe. And after that, I would really love to be part of the World Cup squad. Then, I’ll see what happens in the summer. It’s hard to make plans in football, which is why I don’t dwell on it.”
The young defender has been part of the Germany squad since last October and will fight for a World Cup spot this summer where teams will scout him even further as he slowly climbs the ranks in the side.
