Bayern Munich ace Kane tipped for Ballon d'Or run

Former England striker Peter Crouch believes Bayern Munich ace Harry Kane is a Ballon d'Or contender this year.

This season, Kane has scored 52 goals and six assists in 46 competitive matches.

Last week, Bayern Munich won the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid 2-1. Kane was also on the scoresheet.

"This year is one of those years where there is not just one player who stands out. But Harry has scored about 49 goals in 40 games. It's incredible, isn't it?" Crouch is quoted by goal.com.

"You could say that the Bundesliga is not as good as La Liga, but I watched the whole match on Tuesday and they crushed Real Madrid."

Crouch sees no reason why Kane couldn't win the Ballon d'Or.

"The World Cup is a huge factor and he has to do well there. If Bayern are also in or close to the Champions League final, I think he has a great chance (to win the Ballon d'Or)," he added.
