7M - Ancelotti Extends Brazil Deal Through 2030

Carlo Ancelotti is set to remain as Brazil head coach until 2030, with both the Italian manager and the Brazilian Football Confederation agreeing to extend his current contract beyond the next World Cup.
The move signals a commitment to long-term stability for the five-time champions, who are seeking their sixth World Cup title and first since 2002. Brazil have not reached the tournament semifinals since hosting the event in 2014.
Ancelotti, whose initial deal runs through the 2026 World Cup, confirmed mutual interest in continuing the partnership. "The federation has no problem renewing, and neither do I," he stated. CBF president Samir Xaud has endorsed the extension, which would maintain Ancelotti's annual salary of 10 million euros while granting him full autonomy over squad selection and staff appointments.
Since taking charge, Ancelotti has managed 10 matches with Brazil, recording five wins, two draws and three losses. His tenure has faced scrutiny from local media, particularly regarding decisions such as omitting Neymar from certain fixtures. Despite the pressure, institutional support from the federation remains firm.
The strategy prioritizes building a competitive squad capable of challenging for both Copa America and World Cup honors. Ancelotti emphasized his focus on developing a cohesive, long-term project rather than chasing short-term results.
In recent friendlies, Brazil showed signs of progress with a victory over Croatia, though questions persist about squad depth and tactical consistency. Young talents like Endrick and Vinicius Junior are expected to play central roles in the renewed cycle.
With the extension, Ancelotti aims to restore Brazil to the pinnacle of international football, leveraging his extensive experience to guide the Canarinha through the 2026 and 2030 World Cup campaigns.
