Benfica president opens up on Jose Mourinho's future
Benfica president Rui Costa has insisted that Jose Mourinho is "still in charge" despite speculation surrounding the manager's future.
Mourinho, 63, joined the Portuguese giants last September, but despite not losing a league game, the side still sit in third.
Following their 1-1 Liga Portugal draw with Casa Pia, their ninth of the season, Benfica president Costa insists that Mourinho is still the right man for the job.
"Jose Mourinho has a contract for another year, it is not an issue at this moment,” Costa told reporters.
He also highlighted the strong internal unity, adding: "We are in sync."
