Juventus in three-way Bosman battle for Man City star Bernardo

Juventus are in a three-way battle to land Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva.

City assistant manager Pep Lijnders announced over the weekend that Bernardo would be leaving at the end of the season when his contract expires.

Juve are in contact and discussing a pre-contract with Bernardo's agents.

However, TMW says Juve are facing competition from Barcelona and Fenerbahce.

Barca are also in contact with Bernardo's agents, though it is Juve who are well ahead in the race for the veteran.

“You never replace a player with the same kind of player, because they don’t exist. Bernardo Silva is unique,” said Lijnders.

“The way he controls games, the way he moves, the way he receives, the way he leads, the way he sees the solutions, all these things.

“But every good story comes to an end. I hope he enjoys the last months, it is only six weeks, and he has a good farewell and he deserves all that attention as well.”
