Man United rejected Roberto De Zerbi ahead of Tottenham move

Man United reportedly turned down a chance to appoint Roberto De Zerbi before he became Tottenham manager.

The 46-year-old was named the new permanent Tottenham manager following the dismissal of Igor Tudor in March.

Before he was tasked with keeping Spurs in the Premier League, however, he approached Man United about potentially taking over in the summer.

According to TalkSPORT, United were uninterested in hiring the Italian in a major boost for the ambitions of Michael Carrick.

Carrick has been a revelation since taking over on an interim basis, taking United to third in the Premier League, winning seven, drawing two, and losing just one.
