Arsenal ready to rival Liverpool in pursuit of Newcastle's Gordon

Arsenal are reportedly ready to rival Liverpool in the race to sign Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon this summer.

Newcastle’s failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League will leave them in a precarious position with PSR, and they may be forced to sell key players.

According to Football Transfers, Gordon, 25, could be one of them, with Premier League leaders Arsenal keen.

The former Everton player has previously been linked with a move to Merseyside rivals Liverpool, who are looking for a successor to Mohamed Salah this summer.

It’s understood that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is looking to sign a number of young English talents, with Tino Livramento also on their shortlist.
