Southampton goalkeeper Daniel Peretz faces Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday, April 4, 2026, with his wife Noa Kirel watching closely. The Israeli pop star and Peretz married in November after he first saw her finish third at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.

Noa Kirel and Daniel Peretz have been called Israel's "Posh and Becks"

Peretz admitted he instantly wanted Kirel as his wife, calling her "the most beautiful woman in the world". The couple began dating months after the contest and are now dubbed "Israel's Posh and Becks" by local media. Kirel, who judges The Voice in Tel Aviv, splits her time between Israel, Southampton and global tours. Peretz acknowledges her greater fame, stating: "She does, definitely. I think she's the most recognised person in Israel."

The 25-year-old keeper joined Southampton on loan from Bayern Munich in January, helping the Saints to a 14-game unbeaten run. He credits Bayern legends Manuel Neuer and Harry Kane for elevating his game, comparing training with elite players to "improving in tennis by facing stronger opponents".

Southampton hold a £7 million option to sign Peretz permanently. His future may depend on their promotion push and FA Cup progress. Ahead of the Arsenal clash, Peretz called it "one of the biggest games of my career" with Wembley at stake. A win would send Southampton to the semi-finals, while Arsenal chase a potential treble after their Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City.

Despite ongoing security challenges in his homeland, including missile threats, Peretz finds focus through football. He described the sport as "really good therapy" that helps him concentrate on his goals while inspiring supporters in Israel who follow his career closely.
