7M - Premier League Stars Set For World Cup 2026 Club Rivalries

The FIFA World Cup 2026 roster is now complete following playoff finals that secured the last six qualifying spots. Arsenal forward Viktor Gyokeres scored a late winner to send Sweden to the tournament while Burnley defender Axel Tuanzebe netted an extra time goal to help DR Congo reach their first World Cup in fifty two years. West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek converted a penalty as Czechia advanced via shootout.

When the tournament kicks off on June eleven Premier League teammates will face off across twelve groups.

In Group A Fulham striker Raul Jimenez could meet Burnley forward Lyle Foster when Mexico host South Africa. South Koreas Hwang Hee Chan may oppose his Wolverhampton Wanderers colleague Ladislav Krejci who captains Czechia.

Group B features Bournemouths Daniel Jebbison representing Canada against Bosnia Herzegovina led by former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko. Sunderland captain Granit Xhaka aims for a fourth World Cup with Switzerland.

Group C sees Liverpool defender Andy Robertson and Aston Villas John McGinn lead Scotland at their first World Cup in twenty eight years. They face Haiti now featuring Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor. Brazil captain Casemiro of Manchester United could meet his club teammate Noussair Mazraoui of Morocco at MetLife Stadium.

In Group D Bournemouths Tyler Adams captains the United States and may face club colleague Enes Unal of Turkey. Brighton teammates Ferdi Kadioglu and Diego Gomez could oppose each other when Turkey meet Paraguay.

Group E includes Newcastle duo Malick Thiaw and Nick Woltemade plus Liverpools Florian Wirtz all seeking their first World Cup. Arsenal Kai Havertz may face Ecuador and Arsenal teammate Piero Hincapie while Manchester Uniteds Amad represents Ivory Coast.

Group F features Arsenal teammates Jurrien Timber of Netherlands and Viktor Gyokeres of Sweden meeting in Houston. Liverpool quartet Virgil van Dijk Jeremie Frimpong Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo could oppose fellow Red Wataru Endo captain of Japan. Burnleys Hannibal Mejbri may face Clarets teammate Hjalmar Ekdal when Tunisia play Sweden.

In Group G Manchester City wingers Jeremey Doku and Omar Marmoush could clash when Belgium face Egypt captained by Liverpool icon Mohamed Salah. Nottingham Forests Chris Wood leads New Zealand.

Group H may see Tottenham teammates Pedro Porro of Spain and Rodrigo Bentancur of Uruguay meet in the final group match. Spain also feature Arsenal trio David Raya Cristhian Mosquera and Martin Zubimendi plus Manchester Citys Rodri and Chelseas Marc Cucurella.

Group I offers Chelsea teammates Malo Gusto of France opposing Mamadou Sarr and Nicolas Jackson of Senegal. Arsenal William Saliba and Martin Odegaard could face Manchester Citys Rayan Cherki and Erling Haaland when France meet Norway.

Group J sees World Cup holders Argentina begin against Algeria featuring Manchester City left back Rayan Ait Nouri. Argentine Premier League stars include Emiliano Martinez Enzo Fernandez Alexis Mac Allister Lisandro Martinez and Cristian Romero who may oppose Tottenham teammate Kevin Danso of Austria.

In Group K West Hams Aaron Wan Bissaka and Burnleys Axel Tuanzebe could face former Manchester United colleagues Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot when DR Congo meet Portugal. Manchester City trio Ruben Dias Matheus Nunes and Bernardo Silva feature for Portugal who also face Uzbekistans Abdukodir Khusanov the first Uzbek Premier League player.

Group L opens with England against Croatia where Manchester Citys Phil Foden Marc Guehi Nico OReilly and John Stones may oppose Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic. England later face Ghana led by Bournemouths Antoine Semenyo.
