7M - Casemiro Backs Mainoo As Manchester United Midfield Future

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has urged Manchester United to maintain confidence in academy product Kobbie Mainoo ahead of his June 2026 departure from Old Trafford.

In an exclusive interview with club media Casemiro described the twenty year old as both the present and future of Uniteds midfield. He stated Mainoo ranks among the best number eights in world football and could maintain that standard for the next twelve years.

Casemiro praised Mainoos consistent mentality and hunger for possession. He highlighted the England internationals performances in major finals including his goal in the 2024 FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.
