Danish toymaker Lego announces a major sports market expansion through a partnership with four global football icons ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup hosted by the United States Canada and Mexico.

The collection features Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo across seven distinct sets. Four designs showcase letter-shaped builds representing each player while premium display models highlight Ronaldo and Messi. A standout piece is Messis 1,427-piece 3D wall art depicting his iconic victory pose. Budget-friendly options include individual mini-figures of all four athletes.

Messi commented that Lego play mirrors football through building experimenting learning and celebrating. He praised how the sets creatively bring match moments to life.

Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid emphasized the projects inclusive message noting that creativity connects people across languages and backgrounds. He recalled playing with Lego at school as a child and how imaginative building shaped his perspective.

Julia Goldin Legos chief marketing and product officer confirmed additional football-themed activations including fan zone experiences will launch alongside the World Cup tournament.

All sets will be available in North American markets prior to the 2026 FIFA World Cup kickoff.
