Uzbekistan lifted the FIFA Series 2026 trophy after edging Venezuela 5-4 in a penalty shootout following a 0-0 draw at Milliy Stadium in Tashkent on March 30 2026. The victory marked a successful home tournament for Fabio Cannavaro's side with the former Italy captain and 2006 World Cup winner guiding his team to the title.

Both teams created chances during regular time but failed to convert. With no goals after 90 minutes the match proceeded directly to penalties where Uzbekistan showed superior composure. Akmal Mozgovoy converted the decisive spot kick to seal the 5-4 shootout win.
In the other final-day fixture Gabon defeated Trinidad and Tobago 3-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw. The result confirmed the final standings with Uzbekistan top on five points followed by Venezuela on four Gabon on two and Trinidad and Tobago on one.
Trinidad and Tobago's campaign carried added interest due to their connection with Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke who has been involved with the national team setup. Despite a spirited performance the Soca Warriors finished bottom of the four-team tournament.
The FIFA Series 2026 in Uzbekistan featured competitive matches across the schedule with all four nations using the event as preparation for upcoming international fixtures. Uzbekistan's triumph provides momentum as they continue preparations under Cannavaro ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
