Germany edged Ghana 2-1 in an international friendly at MHP Arena in Ludwigsburg on March 31 2026. Deniz Undav's 88th-minute goal proved decisive as the home side claimed a hard-fought victory.

Kai Havertz opened the scoring from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time after Jonas Adjetey was penalized for handball. The Chelsea forward calmly converted past Ghana goalkeeper Benjamin Asare to give Germany a 1-0 lead at the break.
Ghana responded after the interval through Abdul Fatawu who finished a well-worked move in the 70th minute. Derrick Kohn's incisive run and pull-back set up the goal that leveled the contest.
Germany restored their advantage late when Leroy Sane's headed effort fell to Undav who finished clinically in the 88th minute. Earlier chances for the hosts included Florian Wirtz striking the post from a free kick in the fifth minute and Nico Schlotterbeck's header saved by Asare.
Late pressure from Ghana saw Lenart Karl test Asare from distance but the goalkeeper held firm. The final whistle confirmed a 2-1 win for Julian Nagelsmann's side.
