7M - Tottenham Target De Zerbi as Tudor Replacement After Brief Tenure

Tottenham Hotspur are pursuing Roberto De Zerbi as their next permanent manager following the departure of Igor Tudor on March 29 2026. The Croatian coach exited after just 44 days in charge with both parties agreeing to terminate the arrangement.
The decision reportedly came shortly after Tottenham's 0-3 defeat to Nottingham Forest though the club allowed Tudor time to mourn his father's passing earlier in March before formalizing the split.
According to BBC sources Spurs have identified De Zerbi as their preferred candidate. The Italian manager has been available since leaving Marseille in February and has not ruled out a move to north London. However the 46 year old is said to prefer waiting until the season concludes to assess whether Tottenham can avoid Premier League relegation.
The club currently sits 17th in the table just one point clear of the drop zone making their top flight status uncertain.
Sean Dyche has also been linked with a short term role at Tottenham. The experienced manager who was dismissed by Nottingham Forest in February holds a strong track record of preserving Premier League status. One potential hurdle is Dyche's reported demand for a minimum 18 month contract which may complicate negotiations.
