Joselu, who previously played for Stoke City and Newcastle United before returning to Real Madrid, wed Melanie Canizares in 2016. Melanie works as a flight attendant and model, with over 56 thousand followers on Instagram. Six years later, Carvajal married Melanie's twin sister Daphne Canizares, who runs a wedding planning business called Blue Weddings and has more than 266 thousand Instagram followers.
Both sisters have supported their husbands through high-profile careers in Madrid and with the Spanish national team. Spain claimed the Euro 2024 title by defeating England in the final, with both players part of the squad. After Joselu departed Madrid in summer 2024, the families reunited during the holiday season, as Joselu noted in a social media post celebrating time with relatives.
Now based in Qatar with Al-Gharafa SC, the 36-year-old striker recently reflected on his Premier League experience. He recalled challenging weather conditions at Stoke City but highlighted memorable results, including victories over Manchester City and Manchester United, and a League Cup semi-final run that ended with a penalty loss to Liverpool at Anfield. Joselu also mentioned maintaining friendships with former teammates from both English clubs, several of whom attended his wedding.
The unique family connection between two elite footballers continues to draw attention from fans following both club and international football.
