7M - Poland 2-0 Albania: Lewandowski leads side to crucial Euro qualifier win as Denmark beats North Macedonia 3-1

Poland beat Albania 2-1 in the World Cup 2026 European zone playoff semifinal Group B at the National Stadium in Warsaw on Thursday, local time, according to UEFA. Robert Lewandowski and Piotr Zielinski scored for Poland, after Arber Hoxha had put Albania ahead.

The win means Poland will face Sweden in the Group B final on Tuesday 31 March, local time. Denmark meanwhile defeated North Macedonia 4-0 in the Group D semifinal at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on Thursday, local time. Mikkel Damsgaard, Gustav Isaksen with two goals, and Christian Norgaard scored for Denmark.

That result sends Denmark to play the Czech Republic in the Group D final on Tuesday 31 March, local time. Besides Poland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Denmark, the other countries reaching the finals are Bosnia-Herzegovina, Italy, Turkey and Kosovo.
