Bruno Fernandes green-lights Man United's Sandro Tonali pursuit

Man United captain Bruno Fernandes has reportedly giving his full backing to the club's pursuit of Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali.

With Newcastle’s qualification for next season’s Champions League looking unlikely, it’s been reported they may be forced to sell one of their star players.

Tonali, 25, has been heavily linked with a potential move away, with Man United one of several clubs interested in signing him.

According to the Daily Mail, Tonali is at the top of their midfield shortlist this summer, and captain Fernandes is keen on the deal happening.

The report adds that Fernandes has been consulted and given his support for the move, although it’s unlikely to be cheap.
