Top clubs including Liverpool, Man Utd and Juventus hoping to sign free agent Rudiger

Clubs are rushing to snap up Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger as his contract winds down.

According to reports, the Real Madrid defender is yet to agree an extension to his expiring contract as he prepares to leave as a free agent at the end of this season.

This has, of course, led to reports linking the German international with several big clubs as the summer transfer window approaches.

As reported by The Standard, the former Chelsea star is being linked with Liverpool, Manchester United and Juventus who are all said to interested in snapping him and his vast experience up for free.

This news comes as Liverpool are set to lose Ibrahima Konate at the end his contract and United could see Harry Maguire depart as contract talks continue.

Meanwhile, Juventus boss Luciano Spalletti, is said to be a huge admirer of the experienced centre-back having worked together at Roma from 2015 to 2017.

The Red Devils and Liverpool are expected to pull out of the race if they reach an agreement to extend Maguire and Konate’s contracts before the season concludes.

The 33-year-old defender has won everything possible at Madrid and would bring a wealth of experience to any side in need of defensive reinforcements.

Rudiger has been limited to just 18 appearances this season due to injuries and is likely to feature at the World Cup this summer as teams keep a close eye on the veteran.
