Enzo Fernandez suggests Real Madrid move could happen: We’ll see after the World Cup...

Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez has suggested that he will discuss his future after the World Cup.

Reports claim that several Chelsea players are eyeing exits in the upcoming transfer window after the club collapsed in the Champions League and continue to struggle to climb the table under Liam Rosenior.

"I have a very, very good relationship with the players because we speak all the time," Rosenior said on Thursday.

"Not just about football, or the situation with their contracts, but about their life, with their kids, how their kids are, how school is.

"I have a very, very close relationship with Enzo and with the other players. In terms of contracts and where they want to be, there's not one player at this club since I've been here that has said that he doesn't want to be here in the summer.”

Asked about links to Real Madrid as the summer approaches, Fernandez denied any talks at present but suggested that he is open to discussions once the World Cup was over.

“We’ll see after the World Cup.

“We’ve had zero talks as of now. Honestly, nothing yet (with Real Madrid).

“Now I am focused on Chelsea and what’s left in the last few games this season.”

The Metro claim that the future of Fernandez may depend on how Chelsea finish the season and whether they will play Champions League football in the next campaign.

If Champions League football is not secured, Fernandez could look for an exit and it seems like Madrid are keen on snapping him up as soon as the campaign comes to a close.
