Manchester United are ready to make a bid for Myles Lewis-Skelly who could depart Arsenal.

According to TeamTalk journalist Graeme Bailey, United are hopeful of agreeing a deal for the England talent who has struggled for consistent minutes at the Emirates Stadium this season under Mikel Arteta.

This news comes as Luke Shaw is due to turn 31 years old in a few months time and reports state that the club are keen to hand the veteran more competition in the fullback role, which would only improve the side.

Arsenal have found success in Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori this season, pushing Lewis-Skelly away from the first team as he is consistently overlooked by Arteta.

The 19-year-old is a candidate to leave Arsenal in the summer with reports stating that a 360M bid is being discussed around the club in what would be a shock transfer between the two sides who will compete for the title next season.

Lewis-Skelly is tied to the club until 2030 after signing a new last season. However, he may have his head turned by United as the chance of more game time is offered to the teenager who is unlikely to break into the Arsenal first team next season.

Currently, the defender is reduced role has also affected his international prospects and as the World Cup approaches he may feel that joining United could help his chances of making it into the England squad under Thomas Tuchel.
