Roma defender Gianluca Mancini is now a major doubt for Italy's World Cup play offs after picking up an injury.
The 29-year-old was forced off at half-time in Roma’s 1-0 Serie A win over Lecce on Sunday (March 22) with a thigh strain.
According to TMW, Mancini is now a major doubt for Italy as they prepare to face Northern Ireland in their first World Cup play-off.
Despite the setback, Mancini is still expected to travel with Gennaro Gattuso’s squad and is hoping he will be able to feature.
Mancini is now set to undergo assessments on the severity of his strain.
