Barcelona's Interest in Neto

Chelsea winger Pedro Neto is reportedly on Barcelona's radar as the club considers bolstering their squad. According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona aims to acquire a striker, a center-back, and a winger this summer. While Lamine Yamal and Raphinha are established starters, Marcus Rashford's loan from Manchester United could also be made permanent. Neto, 26, is currently being monitored by Barça, and a clause in his contract may facilitate a transfer if they decide to pursue him.
Dembele's Future Uncertain
Ousmane Dembele's agent recently met with Manchester City's sporting director, Hugo Viana, as reported by Diario Sport. The 28-year-old forward, who played a crucial role in PSG's UEFA Champions League victory last season and won the Ballon d'Or, has a contract with the French champions until 2028. However, negotiations for a contract extension have stalled, leading his representative, Moussa Sissoko, to explore other options. No formal discussions for a transfer to City have taken place yet, and PSG is likely to make Dembele's departure challenging.
Atletico Madrid Blocks Barca's Moves
Atletico Madrid is expected to block any attempts by Barcelona to sign striker Julian Alvarez. However, they might allow a move to the Premier League if an offer surpasses €100 million, according to Diario Sport. Arsenal and Chelsea are expressing interest in the 26-year-old, whereas Barcelona has acknowledged that signing him is virtually unattainable. The Blaugrana would only consider a move if Alvarez openly expresses his desire to join them, which appears unlikely at this moment.
Manchester United's Midfield Pursuits
Manchester United and Chelsea are leading the race to acquire RB Leipzig midfielder Assan Ouedraogo, though interest also exists from Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Newcastle United, according to TEAMtalk. The 19-year-old's contract runs until 2029 and lacks a release clause, leading Leipzig to potentially seek €80 million to €100 million for his transfer. For now, Ouedraogo focuses on helping Leipzig secure a Champions League spot and earning a place in Germany's World Cup squad.
Shortlist of Midfield Targets
In addition to Ouedraogo, Manchester United is reportedly considering various midfielders, including Newcastle's Sandro Tonali, Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson, Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton, AFC Bournemouth's Alex Scott, and Brighton's Carlos Baleba. However, qualifying for the Champions League is crucial for United to have a chance at signing Anderson or Wharton, especially given the competition from Manchester City for the latter.
