Xabi agent responds directly to Liverpool reports
The agent of Xabi Alonso has cooled talk of an agreement with Liverpool.
El Chiringuito reported this week that the former Real Madrid coach had agreed to return to Liverpool at the end of the season.
However, the deal was contingent on Liverpool missing Champions League qualification, which would see management move out Slot and bring in Xabi.
However, the Spaniard's agent, Inaki Ibanez, told WinWin: "All the talk about a deal with Liverpool is just media speculation.
"Alonso is considering all the offers he's received to decide his next destination for the new season."
