Premier League clubs alerted as Werder Bremen plot record Karim Coulibaly sale

Werder Bremen are reportedly planning to sell young defender Karim Coulibaly for a club record fee in the summer with Premier League clubs keen.

The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the best young defensive talents in German this season, starting 20 of his 21 Bundesliga games.

According to BILD, Bremen are hoping to take advantage and cash-in on Coulibaly in a deal that could completely change the club’s financial outlook.

Bremen will demand a fee of around 342 million, which would be their record sale, eclipsing Diego’s move to Juventus in 2009.

It’s understood that several Premier League, Ligue 1, and Serie A sides are interested in signing the youngster.
