Manchester City faced a frustrating 2-2 stalemate against Nottingham Forest at Etihad Stadium on March 5, 2026. Despite taking the lead twice, City could only secure a point, leaving them in second place in the Premier League with 60 points, seven behind Arsenal.

In the first half, Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring for City in the 31st minute after a volley from a cross by Rayan Cherki. However, Forest equalized in the 56th minute through Morgan Gibbs-White, who scored with a back-heeled shot.
City regained the lead just six minutes later when Rodri headed in from a corner taken by Rayan Ait-Nouri, making it 2-1. But once again, Forest responded swiftly, with Elliot Anderson finding the net in the 76th minute after a one-two pass with Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The match saw both teams create chances late in the game, with City missing opportunities to clinch a late winner. Ultimately, the points were shared, leaving City still in contention but trailing the league leaders.
