Goals from James Tarkowski and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall sealed the win, marking an important boost in Everton's quest for a spot in Europe. Moyes highlighted the significance of this victory, especially after a run of six home games without a win.

The Toffees last participated in European competition during the 2017-18 season. Moyes reflected on his past successes, mentioning his time at West Ham, where he guided the team to the Conference League title in 2023.

"We have to believe and aim high," Moyes stated. "It's getting closer, and I'm proud of the progress we are making."

Meanwhile, Burnley remains in 19th place, eight points from safety. Manager Scott Parker acknowledged his side's struggles, noting they lacked quality and were never in the game.

"It's clear we fell short in many aspects," he admitted. "Everton showed their quality, and we didn't compete."
