Manchester United manager Michael Carrick praised Benjamin Sesko after the Slovenian striker came off the bench to score the decisive 1-0 winner at Everton. Sesko's late finish capped a substitute-laden performance, with United's front three all contributing to the build-up as the Red Devils sealed a crucial three points.

The goal came from a flowing move, with Matheus Cunha picking out Bryan Mbeumo, who squared to Sesko for the tap-in. Sesko has now scored in three of his past four appearances after emerging as a trusted impact sub under Carrick, including late winners against Fulham and a stoppage-time leveller at West Ham.
Carrick highlighted Sesko's composure and finishing instincts, saying the goal demonstrated the value of United's new attacking options. The victory lifted United into the Premier League's top four, three points clear of Liverpool and Chelsea in the race for Champions League qualification.
Senne Lammens again impressed between the sticks with a number of key saves, helping United to another clean sheet under Carrick's tenure. Carrick described Lammens' performance as exemplary and essential to maintaining the defensive solidity needed in tight matches.
